Whitby Goth Weekend is an all ages event. However it is your responsibility to check the suitability of the event for any children in your party.
All children aged between 10 and 16 on the date of the event require a ticket. For the full weekend we have a limited number of minor tickets, but when they have sold out they will require an adult ticket.
Children under 10 can be admitted for free (ONE child per paying adult), however numbers are limited as each child counts towards our overall capacity. If you intend bringing young children they MUST be pre-registered; Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org prior to placing your ticket order.
We currently only accept payment through PayPal (either with a PayPal account or as a guest by credit/debit card).
You will receive a confirmation email and booking reference number once your order has been processed through the online shop. Keep this safe. If you have any queries about your purchase you will need the booking reference number. If you have not received an email within 24 hours please check your spam folder and PayPal summary. If you can’t see the transaction online please call your card issuer to confirm funds have been debited from your account. Payment is processed immediately.
Tickets are posted out in batches close to the event. You will receive an email when your tickets have been posted. You can check the status of your order by logging into your account.
Our last posting day for UK orders is normally the Monday prior to the event by first class post for any orders placed on or before midnight on the Sunday prior to the event.
International orders will continue to be despatched until 3 weeks prior to the event, after which time they will be available for collection at the event on the production of approved ID, PayPal receipt and the booking reference number.
Last Minute Orders
Our online booking service remains open until noon on the Saturday of the event where you are able to book and pay for tickets to be collected on arrival. If you wish to attend the event then we strongly advise that you use this service as our past three events have been sold out prior to doors opening.
Our wristband collection point is open until 5pm and reopens again at 7pm. It assists us in keeping congestion at the door to a minimum if you are able to collect your wristbands before 5pm.
If you are not in possession of physical tickets due to last minute online ordering, in order to collect your wristbands you will need your online booking reference number given to you by our shopping cart, and also the PayPal transaction reference number. The person who has ordered the tickets will also need to produce valid approved ID.
Refunds & Exchanges
Tickets are non-refundable but ticket holders are permitted to sell their tickets on to a third party as long as they are not sold for any more than face value plus a reasonable shipping charge. In some cases we may be able to transfer your tickets to a future event. Please contact email@example.com for information
Ticket Non Receipt
If you have not received your tickets within 7 days (UK orders) or 14 days (non-UK orders) of the date of your dispatch email please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we can only discuss transaction issues with the person named on the order.
Check that you have both a shopping cart and PayPal transaction number. If you do not have a PayPal transaction number or a payment to Jo Hampshire showing on your PayPal Summary but have a shopping cart reference number then it’s highly probable that you did not complete the order process.
Please check with your card issuer that no payment has been made to us. Payments are processed immediately so the transaction date should be within 1-2 days of the date on your shopping cart order.
Uncompleted orders are only retained on our system for 48 hours so if your order was not completed within this time you will need to place a new order.

If all this information is in place we may be able to replace your tickets which we will do by cancelling your initial tickets and issuing you with a voucher to produce at the event enabling you to collect your tickets. Once the voucher has been issued, if your tickets arrive you should destroy them and continue to use the voucher as a security marker has been put against them.

General Ticketing Info
Any transaction that involves a chargeback or payment dispute will result in the tickets purchased being cancelled. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account to pay for tickets and our posting dates are clearly stated at the point of purchase.
Orders will not be accepted by postal order, cheques, bankers draft, fax, email or personal callers. If you prefer to purchase your ticket in person we do have a limited number of resellers around the UK; please see the main website for details.
Minors with free or reduced priced tickets must bring ID to verify their age when collecting wristbands in the form of a passport, bus pass, recognized proof of age card or a birth certificate.
Our venue operates a ‘Challenge 21’ policy for alcohol sales. You will not be served alcohol if you look under 21 unless you can prove you are over 18. It is advisable to bring ID if you feel you may be affected by this.
International ticket holders and anyone collecting tickets ordered after the advertised last day of posting must provide photo ID preferably in the form of a Passport or Driving Licence at the time of collection.
Although you are welcome to take photographs for your own personal use, the filming and photographing of the event inside official festival venues for commercial gain is strictly prohibited without the festival’s prior written consent.
As a condition of sale, the ticket holder consents to being filmed, photographed and recorded for Television, Radio, Webcast and other public broadcast in any medium as part of the audience.
The marks Whitby Goth Weekend, Whitby Gothic Weekend, WGW and its associated logo are registered trademarks and may not be used without the express written permission of Whitby Goth Weekend. We take infringement of our Trademarks very seriously and always report instances to both the Fraud Department of North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Trading Standards.
Official merchandise is available at all venues and is not sold anywhere else in Whitby. In purchasing an official piece of merchandise you are investing in the future of the event as the income is reinvested back into the heart of the festival. We want the event to be able to sustain itself for many years to come. If you see unofficial merchandise for sale, we would be most appreciative if you could find a moment to pass the details on to a member of staff. You will not be asked to leave any of your details with us.
Assistance and Information
Help is available at our Info Stand situated in the foyer of The Whitby Pavilion venue between the hours of 10am-3am on Friday and Saturday of the event and between 10am – 4pm on Sundays. Should you have any issues please ask to speak to the Duty Manager as it becomes very difficult to deal with your concerns after the event.
Health and Safety
May we bring to your attention that excessive exposure to loud music may cause damage to your hearing and that strobe lighting is used during live performances.
A First Aid Area manned by professional paramedics is situated on the upper foyer concourse adjacent to the Cloakroom at our evening events.

The artist line up and any advertised stage times may be subject to change without notice.
Whitby Goth Weekend reserves the right to refuse admission to any ticket holder or guest for any reason. Ticket holders exhibiting unreasonable or dangerous behaviour will be ejected and their wristband made null and void.
Admission is at the ticket holder’s own risk. Whitby Goth Weekend will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages at the event including damage, theft or losses to property and valuables if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder.
No posters should be put up or promotional material distributed in official venues without permission of the promoter. Please do not leave piles of flyers around the venues
Data collected during the ordering process is retained by Whitby Goth Weekend to enable us to post your tickets to you. Retained information collected through registration will also be used to post and email to you priority information about the current and future events.
